As I stood on the edge of the cliff, peace and calm washed over me as he floated by.
No it was not an angel but a paraglider passing right in front of me. Ya see, mad_fer_it took a little roadie to San Diego over the weekend. I stayed in La Jolla and witnessed the paraglider just south of Torrey Pines golf course. I had an itch the last few months to see the ocean so I had to go if only for a little over 24 hours. Arriving early afternoon on Friday, I checked in to the hotel and straight to the beach. Not to surf or walk the beach but to merely see the ocean meet the horizon and hear the waves and seagulls. Took in a cool Mexican restaurant for dinner and then walked around La Jolla that night. The next morning was soccer and a Stella at the place I wish to be buried....
After roaming downtown San Diego for a while and a quick jaunt over to Coronado, I headed back to the brown land that is the valley of the sun.
So many of you know my utter contempt for the land that is L.A............... but S.D. ain't half bad I must say...

Citys next 2 games are Arsenal and Chelsea aren't they? Not good. Fortunately for you Watford, Charlton and Wet Sham are so bad you should be ok.
That pub looks almost ok, I usually hate 'English' pubs abroad as they are full of tosser expats but the menu looks about right and it sells ESB which is lovely if it's served properly. Obviosuly looking good on the menu is one thing but I wonder if the get the tastes right.
I had one hell of a weekend at work, fer sure. How was yours, mayng?
