is that so much to ask... i want a house... i don't want a big house... i don't want a new house... i want a little house just off the beaten trail of a college town in the southeast like athens, columbia or gainesville... i want a driveway that has the rows of bricks where the tires are and grass in the middle... i want a little rock wall next to the driveway that is old and weathered with moss on the rocks... i want a garage on the side with the old fashioned door that swings up... i want a work bench in the garage that serves no purpose other than to gather old paint cans and coffee cans... i want old rusty nails and screws in the coffee cans... i want an old couch in the garage for the dogs to sleep... i want three dogs... i want two golden retrievers and one bernese mountain dog... i want to name the goldens " derby " and " watford " and i want to call the bernese " manchester "... i want an old cracked fireplace inside with hardwood floors that have seen better days... i want to work for a historical preservation society... i want to write short stories... i want to photograph every bridge, railroad track, rock quarry and stream in a 200 mile radius... i want neighbors that drop by unexpectedly... i want friends that come and go whenever they please... oh, and i want a soft spoken yet opinionated, gentle yet feisty, caring yet independent, adorable yet flawed young lady who wants the same things..... is that so much to ask....
