Update huh???? Alright...
Starting with the weekend of April 17th...I have a greater appreciation for being a tourist in my own town...I think it all depends upon the company you keep...and how sometimes, not going out is the best option...
My Dad realized he missed my birthday, the March one......and called while he was preparing to go on a cruise around Italy...Maybe he'll bring me some pannetone......We will get together in June...at least it's June this year...
This last Friday I attended a seminar in Chico at Sierra Nevada Brewing Company...lots of good information and a little too much good beer...I drove three other attendees up and back so a hotel WAS definitely involved...We spent much of the day after searching out local colorful history and a few more beers...Tried to get up to Magalia to check out a small brewery up there but when they stopped answering the phone we realized we might be better off cutting our losses...Changed direction and found the brewery in Oroville...since we arrived late, we got another hotel room and assisted the local economy by extended drinking hours...Oh to make Bay Area wages and live on Oroville prices...Oh well...you can't have everything..
I was mildly hungover for most of the weekend but was not in pain...So I was actually able to enjoy the time away from home...I do tend to drink more when with a group...Maybe next year, I'll go alone......But there is an airstrip in Paradise...California that is...
Back to nights today...and this weekend is the Boonville Beer Fest...Although it's not supposed to rain this year, I think I will opt for a vehicle to sleep in...the tent was too damp last year......If I can remember to take my camera, I may record the good times...depending upon how good they are...

No not yet the CSA doesn't start delivering till later this month...so excited.
Good idea about getting hotels
being a tourist at home is good since we tend to never site see the stuff that is actually pretty interesting in our local area.
