Oooooh, Oooooh, Oooooohhhh...

Just tasted my finished braised herb pork shoulder...pretty tasty, but hot!!!!!...Guess that is why it was in the oven... I have finally gotten this dish to where it should always have been...this is a personal best...yay!!!! Also made rice pilaf with mushrooms and will top it all off with a chimichurri sauce....good and good for you...

Roof is fixed but they have to wait until the wall has dried out before checking on damage...Keep in mind that DRY is a relative state in San Francisco...

Watched Its A Wonderful Life and White Christmas today...As well as cooking...My Christmas Miracle happened a couple of weeks ago so I do not expect one tonight...Although I hear someone trying to park in front of my house...this has been going on for quite awhile...but this IS San Francisco....

UPS guaranteed me 2 day delivery on an item that I just learned on Monday was supposed to be on my list...They failed to tell me that a signature was required...I explained over the phone on Monday that this item is a Christmas present and will be late come Friday morning...No problems I was assured...I also explained that if I were able to be home during Cable Guy hours I would just go out and buy this item but since I would not be, I was ordering it from online....No problems I was assured....And of course, this item is now cooling its heels in the warehouse just down the road from me....No problem.....

Oh well....better luck next year...at least the pork turned out well...
