I think I may have just joined a christian rock band.
A plumber was here fixing stuff and he notices my guitars and asks if I play "electric rock guitar".. AND I DO! Then as he's leaving he asks me, very sheepishly, if I would play some.. specifically.. A SONG FOR GOD. So I welcome him in, plug in my axe, and he starts with a couple lines from the song he wrote. See, he wrote this rock song, but then he got all involved in this church, and god and stuff, so he made it a song for (and presumably about) god!
I gave him my number and I'm going to go with him to his friend's studio in a couple weeks to meet with the piano and organ player. This is going to be awesome. I told him I'm not very good, but he didn't care... Maybe they'll care a little more when they realize that I can't keep time to save my life... or MAYBE GOD WILL HELP!?!?

christian rock ... i figure God is either very patient or just has bad taste ... mind you you can always take good songs and just change the lyrics ... we had to play a song for some Christian hostel people in India once and so just changed the lyrics of catonia's strange glue ... 'when facing my demons i clothe them and feed them' became 'my lord is my strength and my shield' or something like that. Anyway it was very old testament oldschool wrathful god stuff which I've always had a thing for ... much more dramatic ... im rambling apologies
