So, maybe you’re new to SG, or maybe you’re an OG member but have wondered what some of the terms around the site stand for, or how blogs are selected for the front page feed. Well you’re in luck! We’ve compiled some helpful tips for getting the most out of your SG membership :) Please feel free to comment with any questions (or additional tips!) you have and SG staff will get back to you ASAP. Now, onto the fun stuff!
Acronyms:
BHB = Blackheart Burlesque
BTS = Behind the Scenes
FP = Front Page
MR = Member Review
PSFB = Pussy Shot From Behind
SG = SuicideGirl
SGH = SuicideGirl Hopeful
SGHQ = SuicideGirls Headquarters
SOTD = Set of the Day
What is a “pink” girl & what does “going pink” mean? When a Hopeful has a set selected as Set of the Day for the first time she “goes pink” and becomes an official SuicideGirl! SuicideGirls are sometimes referred to as “pink” girls as well.
What do the different colors behind blog and group comments mean? Grey comments are made by members you are not friends with (don't mutually follow), blue comments are made by members you are friends with (mutually follow), purple comments are made by Hopefuls, pink comments are made by SuicideGirls, tan comments are made by team photographers, and green comments are made by SGHQ staff.
How to Utilize and Search Tags:
All the photosets on SG have a Tag section below the comments. Use tags to help yourself and other members find sets with similar themes. When tagging, be sure to use clear, concise terms!
Examples of good tags: purple hair, chest piece, holiday, red lipstick, outdoors, cosplay, septum piercing, leather
Examples of bad tags: fuck yes, amazingly edible toes, prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen, omg, ugly, dumb theme
*Basically, avoid tagging sets with anything vague/unhelpful, overcomplicated, or hurtful. Remember the models on SG are REAL women sharing their vulnerability with us.
Cosplay Fridays are a thing! Every Friday, the first SOTD is a cosplay set. So check out THIS THREAD and try searching the COSPLAY TAGto view all the awesome Cosplay sets on SG.

Tips for getting your blogs/videos/pics featured on the front page. Start out by checking our BLOG HOMEWORK THREAD! Each week SG staff posts a new blog topic to drum up creativity, but we feature blogs of all different kinds. We love featuring photos and videos too! Just be sure they are SFW (which means NO nudity). Feel free to tag SG staff in your posts as well (@PENNY @MISSY@EIRENNE @YESSY & @LEMON) — unfortunately we can’t always feature everything, and we do get tagged a lot, but we do our best to feature a diverse variety of content on our front page feed.
