Two blog posts in two days? Felt like I should have mentioned this in yesterday's post, but didn't want to jinx it considering the luck I have. I finally got another job. After being treated like shit at my current job for the last few years, I finally have some hope of leaving the place entirely. I used to enjoy my job at Denny's, but the place has become a festering shit hole. Two places said they hired me near the end of last year, and both fell through. First was the Longhorn where the owner told me he would call me in a few days to set up my schedule after saying I got the job, which never happened. So I tried calling him but he kept dodging my calls. I mean, really. If you decided to go with someone else, at least have the balls to tell me instead of just ignoring me. Never stepping foot into that place again. Then a buddy of mine talked to his manager at the Macaroni Grill and they were going to hire me, but then the entire management staff got fired not even a week after I talked to them. So I got fucked over there too. But finally, luck came my way. I had an interview at the Olive Garden two weeks ago and was told two days later that I got the job. Now, I was actually expecting some bullshit to happen again, but I had my orientation yesterday, did all my paperwork, and now I am officially an employee there. Gonna work at both places for a while to see how things go, but I am at least happy to finally have a chance to leave that hell hole.
