So Ive been really sick lately near death (not really but thats how it feels). Im all stuffy, and coughing non stop. I went through 2 bottles (on my third) of Nyquil in less than a week. I cough so much that I have these wonderful headaches by the end of the day. When I exhale all the way, I can hear this gargling in my lungs. Im well beyond a week past needing to do laundry. But Im getting better! I know this doesnt sound all that bad Im not throwing up, I dont have a fever or anything But I have a very technical job, and trying to do my job at 100% when Im sick is nearly impossible. Anyway, enough bitching from me (ha yea like thatll happen)
I know we all have pet peeves I have a bunch. One of them most often affects me when I am doing my absolutely least favorite thing in existence. Laundry. I HATE going to the Laundromat. I despise it. Thats for no reason other than I really dont like being stuck there. I mean yea, its a good time for me to read and what not, but dang it just sucks. Strange people there all the time Never any parking Hard to load my laundry in my car Sometimes its raining I just hate it. So the pet peeve? Parents that dont mind their children in public. Seriously It drives me nuts. I could rant about this FOREVER about how parents expect the government to parent the kids more than they do (censorship etc). And how parents bitch at places that sell videogames to their kids that the kinds shouldnt have or how those video games shouldnt be getting made because their kids will play it (GTA). I mean for fuck sake a video game costs $50! If your kid is able to a) get $50 without you knowing b) spend $50 without you knowing, c) get to the store to buy the videogame without you know, d) get the game in the house without you knowing, and e) play it without you knowing then you are a shitty ass parent. Period. I by no means am implying that I agree that kids shouldnt be playing these games. I really dont care. But fucking demanding these games be taken off of the shelves because your kids might get their hands on them FUCK YOU! I like these games I enjoy them and to have you try to deprived me of this because you cant watch your fucking kid is ridiculous. I like violent video games. Hell the more violent, the better. I like porn, I like howard stern, I like music with bad words not ONLY these things but they are included with the rest of the stuff I like. I dont like being told what I cant watch and what videogames I cant play because YOU cant be a proper parent. </rant>
To get back to the subject parents bring their kids to the Laundromat which is acceptable. Cant leave them home alone. BUT once they are there these kids are running around, opening up the dryers with MY clothes in them (which turns the dryers off), kicking the washing machines, spilling food/soda all over the folding tables (which then gets on my clean clothes), screaming and yelling, playing catch, pushing each other around in the laundry carts the list is endless. And since I hate doing laundry already all this stuff just puts me over the edge. I leave the Laundromat with fire in my eyes. There is no chance of me having a good evening at home if I just got done doing laundry.
So, some day Im going to open something like Dave and Busters, but it will be a Laundromat as well as have videogames and alcohol in it. I also have a new design concept for a better washer/dryer. Its quicker and less damaging on clothes (seriously). How awesome would a place like that be? I would readily drive to the next city over to do my laundry at a place like that once every few weeks. Make a night out of it laundry, Jager bombs, and some Tekken Tag some pool!
Sorry for ranting. Feel free to comment. Or tell me Im nuts.

Of course, this is when parents decide to act like they're parental. But that's easy enough. "Oh, so YOU're the parent. I was beginning to think we had an orphan over here." Or: "You're his parent?" "YES!" "How's that working out for you?" (or) "Then parent/act like one." Whatever.
The last election made up my mind for me. I'm no longer giving stupid people the benefit of the doubt. I'll hurt their feelings. I don't care. Because I'm suffering thanks to their stupidity. So no more being polite. I've started calling people out and forcing them to recognize their inadequacies. Maybe I'm now an asshole...but if I wake them up, I'm still one of the good guys.
