I had a very typical Canadian day today...for anyone who doesn't know what that means, I'll explain:
6:30am: Woke up and made love to my wife (It was cold this morning, I think that's why she was fiesty) and then got up for a breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast.
9:00am: Drove into town and watched my oldest boy play hockey in a cold rink while I drank Tim Hortons coffee.
10:30am: Picked up some groceries and stopped by the local Canadian Tire store to get some Hockey skate laces for the boy.
11:00am: It starts to snow.
12:00pm: Fed the kids and then went outside and did some yardwork which included getting the ride on lawnmower ready for winter storage and starting a fire using wood from an old apple tree I cut down this summer (yes...I own a chainsaw)
5:30pm: Dinner with the family followed by some playtime with the lads.
8:30pm: A little daddy time...I went outside and sat by the fire while I watched the lights across the river, listened to some of my favorite tunes on the discman, had a cup of tea and smoked a Cuban cigar while the snow drifted lazily down (It's -2C here tonight - that's 23F for you Americans).
9:30pm: Came inside to watch the last two periods of the Olimpique/Oceaniac Jr. hockey game while eating a piece of sour cream chocolate cake.
11:35pm: Update my journal and go to bed. G'night
Here's a pic of me looking impressed with todays snowfall....
