Typing to you from Brother Mu's laptop (not his super nice free present from IBM for working with them now laptop, but his other still kinda nice laptop -which does not parse the sg stytlesheets so well- that he no longewr needs thanks to his new IBM one and will be selling soon and i hope no one buys because i need it right now.
Ishtar (my computer, more named for a much beloved episode of MST3K than for mythology, howver fond of the latter i may be) is completely fubared for reasons we've not figured out. We don't even know if it is software or hardware yet. Since she's such an old broad anyway, we'll be rebuilding her (as much as i can afford and/or get for free) from scratch, so my computer access is come and go right now.
Lucky for me i just won two-hundred bucks in a raffle at out annual awesome company holiday party.. which is going to the fund to get me a machine, and not, as has been much suggested to me, on "hookers and blow." I also lost my voice at this shin-dig and got very drunk and had a small amount of making-out with a Very Nice Gent. This last part is a bit of a company tradition for all employees each year. Yes, even the men get drunk and squirrel off to some corner to make out with some nice boy. I believe it's written on the invitations somewhere. Unlike some people i know, i've luckily never done it with another employee, causing any awkwardness... and this time, this one has already called me the next day. Yes folks, just get me a couple of ladies and mouse is getting her harem for Christmas this year.
I hope they don't mind that all i want from them is for them to run out and pick me up chocolate and ginger milkshakes, and curl up and watch law and order marathons.....
