I thought it might be a good idea to get a junker laptop and put Windows 8 on it and see if it was improved at all.
Versus the immediate competition, Windows XP and Windows 7.. or even a rain soaked history textbook.

Yes.. it is still funny.

So last Wednesday the local utility, or electricity monopoly, cut my service.
Its been a trip getting it back.
The lesson? Companies don't care who you are, or even if you pay them.. unless you call them up and bitch at them, the will merrily screw up your life.

I revisited you blog again because I've forgotten what name you had posted there but the Wordpress site is set to private.
Meanwhile.. I saw again the questions you were raising in the remaining posts, about the site having moved on from core values, not being what it used to be. Even if it has become something more corporate than liberating.. more commercial than natural... I'm still seeing people be who they are and want to be in their blogs.
The photo shoots are the products, polished and an expression of art in its styles, that support the community which is still at its core what it was when I joined (some 3 years ago already? only? and that long really?) geez.
But which ones they choose to become pink, and who becomes a suicide girl, and what of the rest of the hopefuls has always been nebulous. I'm happy as long as the collective good that the site does makes up for the remaining ambiguity.

There's been a problem in my managing the wordpress blog settings yesterday actually ! It's all fixed now and public again.
I agree with you about how great the community is here. I agree 100% ! But I certainly won't come back as a model or member, and I don't want to be part of it as such anymore.
I will definitely miss all the kind people I got to chat with every now and then, which is why I hope they will make it to my blog so that we can keep up with chatting and supporting each other.

Apparently some ninjas and wizards got together to make a Google Chrome extension called iSlide that actually works!
It'll pick out the pictures on the page and run a slide show.. and allow you to save them all one-shot.

Finally got up and went out and saw Hanna and Fast Five.
Hanna was really impressive, probably more so having seen Tamara Drewe first.
Jessica Barden and Saoirse Ronan stopped everyone in the theater while they were on screen. Since those scenes didn't have the freight train soundtrack ruining them they were even more rich and enjoyable.
I wonder about that soundtrack, like Tron it...
