Just aggravated

So I told one of the new bigo friends how I'd been on the fence about keeping people on my Snapchat that I don't usually talk to. She's like let them go.

And then explained how it was just weird or too common that I only felt that way because I'm the 3rd wheel once they find a boy and get into relationship (as it should be). So I'm mostly fine with sitting around in the background until I'm needed.

She still said move on. And asked if they'd broken up. I said no and wondered why she'd said it do matter-of-factly. The relationship was fine.

So I was like.. maybe after the weekend.

Turns out the broke up after all.

Which makes me sad and annoyed because she knew he was hiding something but went along with it. She was happy so as much as she was a little miserable about something that wasn't right.. she needed to be happy, she was stressed and not in a good place during the fall but was getting better. I've learned that the distraction is worth it (months in a relationship) and the sting of betrayal is momentary.

It might take a bit for her to get over him but she's strong.

Now I'm just not sure how to be the understanding friend (my usual role) since I'm really tired of it. For her I mean of course I don't mind. I just didn't expect it to happen so soon.. but shit happens.

Just don't know that I'll do this all again. Hands on meddling doesn't work. Hands off approach doesn't help. And cutting people off completely doesn't work for me. It depends way too much on other people being decent to each other and behaving themselves. Since I'm usually the friend of the girl and don't know the guy it's like a matter of time before it stopped working.

In the meantime (since October when they started dating) I've made and lost more friends on Bigo. Remains to be seen if she needs me anywhere as much as she did last year (I doubt it). And I'm also doubting I can get her back on Bigo or any other livestreaming application that wouldn't seem self serving because that isn't what this is about.

And shit in Bigo has gotten weird since she left anyway.

The supposed pedo I've been tracking has altered his patterns slightly. Well drastically I suppose. He's trying to be friendly to me šŸ˜‚.

I balked because that's not how it works. The broadcast he tried to fake out being nice to me on got us both kicked out. I was surprised but then not really.

But besides him there's the aggressive drive in the US region to drive out all under age broadcasters. This is pissing many people off because while it seems like they are playing favorites or just picking on certain people (like my friend that had only just turned 15) they are banning young women that are 17 to 20.

The ones over 18 that cared got their accounts back by showing an ID. Not that they should fucking have to.. they did. But the hassle of having to do so when they are earning money for bigo is bullshit.

The ones that aren't 18 simply haven't bothered making new accounts, like my friend that just turned 15. She was on her 3rd or 4th account anyway.

So I don't honestly know why I'm still on Bigo right now. Morbid curiosity probably. I have a couple of friends left on there but it isn't the same as it was up until this winter and what seems like a purging of people that had seemed untouchable.

The most recent one I'd only realized she's been banned because of the pedo I've been tracking. While looking through his followed broadcasters I saw her name with a bio reading I got banned :<

I mean she's not my friend because she never followed me first (my rule) and I didn't want to insinuate myself into her somewhat personal conversations. But I'd sometimes pop in and say hi.

It hurt my heart. Each one of these bans hurts my heart. They'll say things like they form friendships with people online and removing that from them, when they are the ones in control, as the broadcasters, is heartless.

The one moderator (lady that can ban people) that in friends with appears to be leaving my remaining friends alone but she's not alone. For Valentine's I got the lady mod to make a fan sign for my friend. It was funny because she had just made one on a heart shaped chalk board and was just erasing it. I know she has a toddler so I figured she'd use a baby wipe on it. And then she did before doing my friend's name.

I'm either going to have to get her help with the under aged ones or try to make friends with all of the moderators.

But that feels like going back to my original mission. Finding it who banned my friend in the first place. And getting them all on board to ignore my friends. Or get bigo to quit their bullshit of targeting young people that are fully capable of livestreaming.

They've persistently refused to another acknowledge that anyone under 18 in the US is legally allowed to broadcast. I keep bringing up YouTube and twitch.. be and they snort back about prerogative and bigo isn't safe (which is their own damned fault) so they'd need parental supervision. Granted there's no excusing the lawlessness of the typical US teenage girl that wants to express herself. Whether that's by dancing suggestively (one of them tried and ended up falling on her face twice) or by signing along to songs with explicit lyrics. It's only suddenly a problem for bigo because the girl is young, and therefore an idiot or bring manipulated (by me?! Don't make me laugh). I could talk to her about WHY she legitimately got banned but that's just not my job. The issue is Bigo is the problem, that it's more likely they are the ones exploiting these girls by not telling them up front that they aren't allowed to broadcast. So they'll get on, make some money, and then get kicked off before they can cash out (Bigo keeps the money they made).
