I mean first off it seems to be a common feeling that yes it is a sequel but come on most of this shit was supposed to be in the first game and released a year or two ago but due to delays and whatever other BS here we are.
Due to those delays we have a little fork happening. And due to those delays a getting in 4 year old game has lost an incredible number of players because it has always been ridiculously buggy and horrid at giving out good gear.
The fork is PS4 pro PC and possibly Xbox Scorpio ♏.
I have the game on both Xbox and PS4 Pro and wasn't going to consider getting it for PC.
Almost everyone on Xbox quit the game. To avoid that I just didn't bother adding and keeping people on the PSN side of things.
Plus Bungie is killing off 3 years of progress and gear hording. Not that in any practical terms it should matter but when you do have several great rolls on weapons, you want to keep using them because they do make the game easier.
Worse is that the PC version of Destiny 2 sounds much better for about rifles. They are my favorite and I have several fantastic rolls on both consoles.
So Bungie making the really important issue of carrying vaults over moot.. What platform is best? PC hands down.
I could in theory just run all three platforms. Have 9 characters and 9 gear vaults. I can do that. Or I could drop PlayStation as there's no point in playing on what could be the worst platform. Even if Sony is buying yet another set of exclusive items to make their version seem better. It seems to matter for nothing if the game is shitty compared to PC.
But giving up Xbox is harder because that's where I started playing Destiny. None of my friends are coming back. And I'm sick to shit of making new ones because the game has become so stale that no one was coming back or driving around.
Right now it's impossible to make a decision because we do not know where the Xbox ♏ version of the game will fall.
Will it be a console version.. capped at 30 frames per second, offering a cinematic feel throughout the experience, or will it match PC and run at 60 frames per second and finally turn the action up a few notches. Some people don't think it is important... Not strangely those are the people that complain the game is stale.
They needed the game to be polished that little bit more and for it to stack up with other action shooters from Activision.
If ♏ does 60fps I'll get that version. If not I might still get it but will have to get the PC version. Unfortunately it won't be a play anywhere game or that would have further simplified the situation.
