Just after I was trying to say that this game was starting to impress me.
I mean what attention to detail! Didn't visit Rost until after dealing with the Shadow Carja. Aloy makes a point of saying she waiting a long time to visit. And then has a little conversation with Rost about all the things that happened so far.
Marvelous.
But now I'm trying to do all the side quests and errands before hitting up the final battle as they call it because I don't know if the game will allow me to do these things after completing that fight.
Except I already can't.
I've had issues with this games presentation, the controls and such.. and the map. Trying to figure out why certain machine nodes are greyed out and others tell you the names of the machines that should spawn in those areas. If you kill the machines in that area the name shows up. Oh ok. I guess that goes for everything else. Only giving you the names for things you already defeated. Wonderful.
Why aren't there any bigger beasts on the map? It is as if I never defeated any just wandering around the map. This might actually be so because for the most part I did avoid bigger creatures and just meleed through everything else. Short of wandering the countryside all over again.. I don't know how to find the creatures that I need to knock off in order to become a Hawk at the Hunter's Lodge. Which is hard enough to get into without having aim assist on.
Starting to get that feeling again that I'm playing the game wrong. Not looking for hints online.. 3 of 4 powercells and pretty sure I missed one in one of the bunkers.. nothing I need on the map to find big game to slay.. vaguely unsure of what to do next..
It dawned on me that this might be the case when I was already wandering around and kept finding dead behemoths that I didn't kill. :/ what the fuck..
