Things could be worse I suppose.
But the worst thing are these damned Velociraptors. They are bloody incessant.
I mean now that I've mastered the boomerang they aren't much of a threat to my person but they are a friggin hassle when I have to tame. So far they've killed my character a half dozen times.. but they are shredding my shelter and killing my tames.
For every aspect of the game and improvement I could each death against this game. Each death at least that makes no sense.
These constant raptor raids are nothing more than an annoyance because they are nothing more than narcos at this point. Swooping in while I'm out foraging for narcotics and liberating by way of their stomachs.. my unwilling tames.
Yes I will be using them as pack mules for narco berries.. what should they care?!
As I'm seethe following their more recent incursion I again notice that Morellatops can stand their ground against them. And maybe the Raptors are offering me an opportunity to re-evaluate taming Ankylos while Morellatops would be substantially more useful in the meantime. At least a pod of them. Maybe 4.
What I need is a Tryke and saddle so I can collect berries faster but having a posse of camel dinos that can kick raptor ass.. hmmmmm...
So annoyed with these fricken Raptors that I didn't notice I might have actually survived between 12-24 hours. But the extreme elements aside.. having adequate weaponry at hand has meant fewer deaths and many more kills so much more meat. Meat that I can have my character eat and regain health. The essentials to survival. Not that they mean much while trying to survive in a blast furnace.. filled with murderous Raptors.. but it does mean progress.
At level 15 I should be able to master water by building a well. By 16.. I'll have a bow, and arrow.. and at some point shortly thereafter narco arrows and thus the capability of bringing down even larger dinos. Hopefully a saddle soon.. and more berries.. for more narcotic concoctions.

So I got to 15.. and I now have regrets.
I got the Morellatops saddle.. the well... and hide armor. So I should be able to survive.. but I used up my engram points before seeing what the whip was about.
Such powerful regrets. I should have gotten the whip right away. Oh well. I'll get wood structure stuff and the whip on the next level up. No problem.
