Because didn't even last a day.. like it took longer to tame that Argentavis and it was nothing but trouble the whole time I was trying to get to the top of Frozen Peak.
This game has AI pathing problems which you can get used to and work around.. but with a flying mount literally floating above your head... and that wants to fight everything including other flying creatures.. last I saw of M1th was it flying up into a helical death spin with another Argentavis. We downed that one a few hours later and it was only level 19 and M1th was level 30.. so it shouldn't have died and I didn't get any such notification. So lost but presumed dead.
I abandoned the pack animals and took my still unnamed T-Rex which was only accidentally tamed because it was trying to eat my 4th Bronto. Couldn't have that loss and a T-Rex is a substantial gain.
We got to the top of Frozen Peak and MY GOD!! it is full of stars! or rather twinkly Crystal nodes and metric tons of Metal. There's also some obsidian but nothing to write home about. I'm thoroughly pissed I don't have an ankylo with us or we'd be collecting 2 to 6 times as many mats. But wtv we can come back since I'm out of water.
RIP Morcules the 1th.. if we ever find our way off this god forsaken peak you'll be speedily replaced with another mount just like you that will have a saddle so that I can actually mount that one and fly around instead of screaming at you to get off my fucking head so I can farm mats. Plus with a saddle I'll just land that one on the back of the Paracer so it won't get killed as often if ever.
