There are now several platforms that can create a 3D map of your face and several methods to display it.
Given IG, the selfie repository, and Amazon's attempt at a 3D phone.. Eventually Google's, Microsoft and a variety of other phone makers dropping VR gear... And chat platforms that might work better with a rendered model of your face instead of streaming video... A reference 3D model of your face could be used to present a basis for an animated 3D model of your face. An avatar.
If all social media has that same model it gets much easier to deal with displaying it no matter the platform.

It was very sad when i read that so many people post pictures of their children and toys ones are used by really terrible people forcing parents to reconsider posting photos of their kids to Facebook.

But yeah the remote entertainment this is what I've been interested in because of twitch and periscope. Currently my phones data days I've used almost 100 gigabytes just to watch Twitch. That's insane. If it wasn't streaming HD video but instead just data to be fed into a renderer it should be significantly less.
