Was amazed back on the old site, prior to iOS and Android apps being a thing, that there's so much photography buried in peoples blogs and album submissions.
With the new site, if it supported tweaking the layout a little would be nice, it seems even easier to appreciate people's video and photography submissions.
I mean as a for profit user-content driven site, these days that means comparing it to social media apps like 500px, still mind blowing what you get when you sign up and participate. Some of those photos have a public tag. Could they be accessed by a legit Android app? Having access to other blogs and albums that are members/friends only might get tricky but as far as I can tell the site handles these requests gracefully via 'access denied'. If you do however have access it has no problem serving up photos and video.
Is it fair to ask when an Android app will be launched so people can directly capture and post content from those devices? I appreciate the file fetching feature but I can't remember if it supports Google Drive. I felt silly when I learned about all the features and improvements they've added in that last little while that make it so that you can capture stuff and have it automatically sync to your drive, and from their you can play it back directly on your android device and share it out.
So while the SG website video player still needs work considering the content that people can directly upload to the site, uploading stuff could be easier? As in an option to 'Share to SG'?
