So like sometimes, due to my job, or hobby, or by request of my few friends or loved ones.. I have to go on site to a computer, remote to a computer by phone or a workstation.. or through a phone..
It never ceases to amaze me how Microsoft, bless their coal black hearts can change so much about Windows, ameliorating little of what needs to be fixed, and leaving all kinds of shit untouched.. AND messing up stuff that actually worked.
I mean that's software in general but.. why, how for so many years.. @.@
That no matter how many computers I touch can stuff be different enough that it is always puzzle and tedium to get simple stuff done.. and since I'm on 8.1 'preview' these days every other machine seems like a total mess.
Like people are literally still on Windows XP. Why?
Someone asked me if they bought a laptop and could expect to see the same desktop that she would on her PC. Isn't that was cloud is for?
Yes, in theory. And yes it actually is for that.
How can you reconcile a user base with a large trailing end still on XP.. some who still bitterly regret ME and Vista.. people who having jumped from Xp, over the lava to 7.. who will probably never upgrade again.. How can you polarize your user base that much?
That literally some people jump to Linux, and Mac willingly.
That personally I'm deeply interested in Android for desktop which while on the cusp of being a thing.. still isn't really. A thing I've asked for probably decades ago as an ancillary CPU and its own dedicated memory space and graphical resources to be an always there backup in case windows implodes.
Which.. at least professionally speaking I need for it to be like that.. but I can still ask why?
Why is Windows fundamentally changing with each new version without ever getting better?
Hmm.. 112213.. same with Xbox?
