Warning, massive wall o' text;
Yeah, I had tried to register to a PC Support Technician program with Abbott in Montreal but hadn't heard back from them. In the meantime having no job and with only a trickle from EI I'm running short of funds to keep up with bills. Figured if I looked on kijiji I'd find something. So I found a paper route in Ottawa, but they were like be here by 2am... I was like short notice much?! got in the car and went straight to them in like an hour and a half from montreal. So that's why I'm here for at least the next couple of weeks. But after I got here, weedman ottawa called me up and asked if I was still interested in working for them. To which I was like sure why not. While here earning some spare change, havnig two jobs makes that happen faster. After having a great interview with weedman I opted to email Abbott and inquire about the placement since I still hadn't heard back. They fired back an acceptance.. crushed since it was starting to look like I should just ship over to Ottawa... I had to explain to weedman that I'd only be around for another couple of weeks, thus hardly worth it for them to go through the expense of paying to train me. I'd still appreciate the opportunity to see if I could handle the job, especially the customer service aspect and company vehicle aspect. We'll see by Tuesday since that's when the training starts. Then today, after a few days of doing the paper route, and having a hundred papers to deliver in 5 hours (I'm supposed to take 4 hours), and with only 1 left to deliver, I was like 'this is getting tedious...', this city and it's layout and criminally early morning hideous pedestrians are kinda depressing.. I hear this odd sound over my head.. the burner from a hot air ballons. There were almost a dozen flying by with a Canada and a Quebec themed pair directly over head seeming to be racing each other. A huge morale boost to deliver that last paper. Still, it'll be nice to head home after the next shift and finally reunite with my PC after being away from home for so long.
