Mass Effect plus Disney
I'm wondering if EA, Bioware and Disney could come together to make that Mass Effect movie with the same eyecandy as Tron Legacy.
Considering later day Disney I wouldn't be surprised if they were up for the project. They've done other questionable movies and this one would be easy enough once the trilogy is done with.
The problem will probably end up being stuffing 3 games worth of content into a movie. Generally that wouldn't be a tough thing, but for the games being at least 8 hours in length each.
Also.. how would you manage the fact that Sheppard is either a man or a woman?
I prefer playing the game as a woman because there simply aren't any benefits to playing as a guy.
But how would you manage a movie that had a male and female lead character?
With the 50 gigs that bluray offers film makers, it would be possible to have enough space to have male scenes and female scenes too.
Like at the beginning of the movie you'd pick the gender and what characters you want to appear in the movie, just like the game.
Again, given the game does progress fairly quickly it wouldn't take much to splice in the various scenes that are different. Would be harder though if you were able to pick different team mates. unless they only appear for a small part of the story ark.
