Question about Grand Theft Auto 5
For peeps who play it, what character do you want to play?
I'm not interested much in playing as an old fatty. Especially if you can't work out (meeting chicks at the gym)(getting random pedestrians into your car)(get physically stronger).
I'm more interested in playing as a spry youth.. which was always the norm for the game and became even more important when we started playing the game in 3D.
What sense really does it make to have a character that's hard to control?
But to each his own right? Can't we just pick the character we want to play? or make one?
I'd be happy to pick from a group (letting you start the game with a gang instead of against all gangs).
Or just build a character from scratch and make friends from the dozens that are offered.
But then I thought about it some more.. You've never really had the chance to play the game as a woman. They tried a black guy and that worked.. but what about a women? like Michelle.
I'm wondering it a 3rd expansion pack featuring Michelle, much heavier weapons and military vehicles.. would be possible. Or just center the next game around a woman. I remember wondering how Mass Effect and Oblivion were supposed to work if you had the option to play as a woman.. they just added some annoying chatter at your character but it didn't affect the game that much at all.
I'm sure Rockstar though could give you a really different game and perspective on playing the game as a woman.
The other question, sort of touched on, is what about playing grand theft auto AS a cop. Regardless of gender.
I'm not saying I'm tired of grand THEFT auto or anything.. that's always fun.. but what about Rockstar taking a different step with 5 by letting you actually play as a cop. Rising through the ranks. Meter maid, detective, sargeant, corporal, lieutenant, captain.. etc..
Looking back at it.. 4 wasn't bad so much as it was just bland. They nerfed everything that could have been fun and sliced out everything that WAS fun from previous games. They want to present an experience that's more subdued and cinematic.. fun. It doesn't really work when people are expecting a video game. One that's fun to play. Where's the burnout tuner sport driving? the revolt radio controlled vehicles?
Lastly I'd wonder, after playing Red Faction Guerilla.. that yes it's nice to have euphoria, and R.A.G.E.'s other claims to fame which were not used to the greatest effect in 4. Could 5 actually have more physical clothing? physical hair? and destrcutible building/environments?
Imagine being able to set traps for the cops or criminals with remote charges? by blowing up a bridge?
It would take a little while for the city to rebuild it, but that can be managed. Police presence might just be beefed up after an emergency LOCALLY instead of just on you. More cars staking out the area even if you get away.
The one thing about guerilla that was silly was how easy stuff what to blow up. 5 could just make it really difficult but not impossible to knock entire buildings down.
