Is sad
not about being let go from my game tester post.. peh.
no
About the last 3 episodes I finally managed to force myself to watch.
See I like to think I have this talent to avoid things I'll find objectionable. The counter argument is that I'm so much the masochistic cynic that I find or will make up even the smallest things to find fault in the things I like.
That aside.. I'm sad. The cop who gets point blank shot was the icing on the cake. I'm not watching this show anymore and it's one of my few favorites.
But even before that the last 3 episodes were simply pisspoor. I've come to expect at least a bit of pulp and action but none of the actors put much effort into their roles except the cop that owns richter. He's one of those side characters who actually has more to offer than any of the others.. and when that happens.. forget it.
No.. it's simply too depressing and lost virtually all of it's initial edge.
I think it hurts me on a deep level that the show petered out so bad and the last thing it did was kill off one of the better characters.. and makes you watch him die. I'm just not into that kind of pointless sociopathic horror. Funny because the black woman cop that fends off a bunch of murderous gang bangers.. no effect. You can say they had it coming, or instead you can say at least the rest of the bunch had the good sense to flee and she didn't get herself shot. That would have been an even more EPIC fail on the part of the show.
Whatever, it was fun. Can't even say there's any need to buy the season on dvd since the last three are pretty much too revolting to bother mentioning again.
btw so revolted that I didn't mention the show is Southland.
