So I just watched Blue Valentine. It was a fantastic film. I had a hard time watching it, however, because of how incredibly close to home it hit. My parents went through a marriage breakdown much like Dean and Cindy endured. I, like Frankie, was five and unable to read the signs and understand how much they hated each other by the end. It's odd to see something like that play out on screen. They did so incredibly well portraying it. I'll probably end up repeating the cycle. Oh, well.
