Art is coming along. It looks like I'll actually have the three pieces by the end of next week, like I'm supposed to. I've been turning into a bit of an Artist, though, keeping odd hours, having horrible eating habits, unconsciously avoiding all of my friends and other engagements, but at the same time spending hours a day watching The Brady Bunch and Beavis & Butthead. I hate TV.

And the heat is a bit annoying.

Today I got out of the house and went to Powell's and sat in the coffee shop with a couple friends and read a bit and then drew a lot. I did a sketch of the bonfire of sex toys that's going in one of the current pieces. I think that'll be fun. And I also started putting more energy into actually moving forward with this graphic novel that's in my head. Pretty fucking exciting.

A few days ago I went to a nude beach on the Columbia with a housemate and some of his friends. They were a bunch of gay boys and it was a strange experience, not because they were gay, which I am not un-used to, but because of how perfectly they conformed to some of the horrible stereotypes. Anonymous sex and what-not. On the beach. Well, to be fair, they went into the woods behind the beach to fuck people they'd just met, but really... and I do not wish to be offensive to anyone who really enjoys anonymous sex, it's just so far beyond "risky" that it's ridiculous. They were talking about syphilis as something that happens, like a cold. And so many drugs and prissiness, and caddiness. It was also strange because I was able to be naked on a beach for about four hours and have no one really look at me. It's an incredible way to become comfortable with one's body. Someone said "damn, you have some huge tits, girl" and that was all the mention of my body. It was good.

Then, when I came home and began to paint with my housemate in the shed, we were three-quarters through a love-song I'd never heard sung by a man when I realized that I wasn't feeling at all connected with the thing simply because I assumed that it was being sung for a male. My whole world had turned gay for just a moment.

And on a side note, I kind of want to sleep with my housemate. She's awesome, and cute and a swinger. But she's also my housemate.

Funny how the gays I know soooo easily fit the stereotypes also.....

did you get any photo's of that nude bathing??? wink

I am just too hot to write anything.... bleeechhhh... but it kind of got me off my butt and I have started on my "blinds for the house" project... I have two purchased and one installed.

14 total to do.... just gonna nip away at it. smile
