Well it's almost completely healed. (The pic won't resize... go to photobucket for a real picture.
And I'm not sure what to do with myself on kind of a cosmic level. I printed and bound 13 copies of my thesis, I gave two to the library. I cleaned out my office and I'm completely done. Now all that's left, really, is waiting for family-types to get to town so that I can graduate. An odd state.
I keep wanting to get out of the city for a little while, take to the beack or even just the gorge, but I don't really have quite enough time, and I'd have to do it alone, which is somewhat less enticing.
I'd like to do some art, and sepcifically, I'd like to do some things that I can give to profs as sort of thank-you gifts. We'll see how that works out. I can only really thing of something to do for one prof, and it's only slightly more solidified in my mind than the non-existant other presents. I need to find an image to replicate. The prof in question has his focus in Chinese and Japanese History. I took two semesters of Chinese History with him and would like to replicate something in a different format, but I need to find an image that will translate well. I'm going to do it in scratchboard, cause it's cool shit, yo. But that means I need something that doesn't have to have color and something that will easily translate to the medium's lack of gradient (other than hatching). More art is good for me. I also need to set about altering the graduation announcements my mom paid too much for so that they can be sent out after the fact, and then I need to send them out...
This is me right now.
