Raceland is about 45min. West of New Orleans, in Lafourche Parish.
My brother lives in Jefferson Parish, we went down to Bourbon a few weekends back it looks like a party under martial law. The street was full of people, though if you removed the cops and military I'm sure it would've looked rather bare it is so sad. A lot of the women I work with are evacs from New Orleans, starting their lives over in quaint little Thibodaux.
