how come no matter what, nothing i do is ever good enough? i cant be nice-he gets mad

how am i supposed to say "if you need me, im here" or "im truly happy you've moved on and are happy"
without someone getting mad at me?

its like no matter what-he will always have this bad image of me in his head..and i have no idea what i did wrong to make him think this way about me

im just trying to be nice
