Are you feeling so lonely because you are hoemsicj fro Canada?
He tends to over do things, so for him its all or nothing, but I cut down my alcohol intake a lot when I wanted to slim down a bit. I can do things in moderation, which he can't, but staying dry makes for good sleep.
