that's what my dad said this afternoon when i called to wish him a happy father's day. turns out he and my mom were in a car accident this morning, and his brand new car, which he's only had for ten days, now has three grand worth of damage. some asshat ran a flashing red light and broadsided them. they are both okay, neither cars were going very fast and everyone was wearing a seat belt. luckily the other guy has insurance, so my dad will only have to pay his deductible. but still, not two weeks into having his new car, and now he has to wait for it to be fixed.
