so, the bauhaus/nine inch nails show was last week. bauhaus was awesome as usual, it's just too bad it was an outdoor show and they went on before sunset. although, the sun was going down, and their light show became more effective the longer they played. i think peter is getting a little long in the tooth though. he was sitting down for several songs. but they sounded amazing.
TV on the Radio opened, which i was very excited about. alas, they sounded like crap. they're not really a rock band, and given that they were kind of forced to set up for a rock show because of who they were touring with and the venue, it's sort of understandable. it was still cool to see them.
nin was predictably boring. we hadnt planned to stay through their entire set, and we didn't. and damn i'm glad we didn't, because we would have been stuck in traffic leaving the ampitheater until 1 in the morning, when the show was over around 11. they sounded good enough, but i'm completely over their music. meh. and it's hard to take trent reznor seriously now. he's replaced his angst with 'roid rage it seems. he has no neck...
we went to the after party at pulse, which the members of bauhaus (or at the very least, daniel ash) were supposed to be attending. but they showed up too early and the doors were still locked, so they left to get food. i don't think they made it back. but i don't think i would have noticed over all the fucking relationship drama going on around me. part of which i was involved in this time unfortunately.
