Men have hearts. Many of us have big, soft ones. These hearts embody many of the best traits we of the X&Y have. Caring. Warmth. Strength. Humor. Passion. Faith. Those of us who let you in are being as brave as they can. Sometimes without ever knowing it. When this type of man is used/abused for whatever reason; money, sex, transport, gain, etc. you usually end up destroying a man's heart. With it you destroy most of his best traits. His ability to easily care, his passion to devote himself to someone. His faith that girls are humans instead of a malevolent force or whatever stereotype he sees on T.V. and the movies gets fractured, even broken. Abuse happens enough and the heart becomes a stone. Then he becomes the type of man you talk about when you complain about all the good men dissapearing.
Much of this is up to him and can be overcome. But you know as well as I that emotions are hard, impossible to overcome and see through to find your goal. Much of this is up to him, but much of this can be avoided by you. Use common sense. Be honest. Be careful. He'll do the same for you and for a long time if you let him.
