I've decided that I'm going on leave a week early. I really don't think I can last three more weeks, and I'm eligible for leave at any time right now. It's just such a weird place to be in ... Usually I'm the person filling in for the woman going on leave, so it's odd to be training someone to fill in for me. I'm not looking forward to the income reduction just in time for Christmas, though. 
I finished The Seventh Tower series by Garth Nix. The library got the sixth and final book in shortly after I had finished the fifth. It was weird, though. The book itself, I mean. I think maybe it was the last on a roll of paper or something, and they didn't change it fast enough at the printing press. Some pages had extra pieces on them, or were double thickness. Two pages missing, too, but fortunately not during a crucial part of the story. He left it wide open for a second series, but I'm not going to hold my breath for it. He's taken long enough to write more in the Sabriel universe!
I saw a guy reading Watchmen on the subway today. I really need to read that soon, because I'm definitely going to see the movie, and I've heard such great things about the comic. I also really want to see Quantum of Solace, but I have no idea when that's going to happen. Apparently Repo! The Genetic Opera is already out!! ARGH. I want to read The Tale of Despereaux, but I'm not sure if I'll ever see the movie. The Spirit looks interesting, but that's about it for movies for the rest of the year. Damn Twilight for bumping Harry Potter to the summer!

So, how was the shower? I've been away from SG all weekend and seemed to have missed a bunch of stuff lol.
Also, enjoy the heck out of your leave. I wish they offered something similar here in the states. They don't and it makes me so sad. So many mamas are forced back to work right after the spawn pops out. I think that's a big reason for formula being so popular too. Pumping when you go back to work is a pain in the ass and isn't something a lot of people are comfortable doing.
