The A/C adapter for my laptop died. Dell wanted $79.99 for a new one for a four-year-old laptop. I found a generic one on Amazon, but it hasn't done the trick. Now I'm thinking it's the battery, as on the off chance I can get it to recharge, it stops charging the minute I turn my computer on. The cheap one is $174.99.
So it looks like I'm taking my husband up on his offer to Frankenstein me together a desktop. He's got spare parts a plenty since he upgraded with his Christmas money, and I'll finally be able to play World of Warcraft with him. It means getting a second account (we've been sharing all this time), but hey, new job!
Since my laptop can only hold a charge for about an hour, I'll probably be pretty scarce for a while.
