My second SG anniversary has come and gone. Twice as many Girls than there were when I joined. Not a Hopeful any more. Owner of four groups. Still not accepting friend requests. Lotus recently joined the Archive and she's probably one of the Girls I'd spent the most time hanging out with (aside from Loki). AnnaLee and Cecilia, two of my very favourites were also archived this month. I'll never find Girls to replace them, especially as I rarely look at sets any more.
So why stay? Honestly, it's the adult conversation. For all the drama, once you know how to avoid it, it's not bad. I don't have to watch what I say here in regards to sexuality, spirituality, politics, whatever. The stuff I do and think that's controversial on the outside is perfectly normal here, even embraced. It's nice to feel normal somewhere.
In other news, we've been watching Battlestar Galactica. We've just started season two. Also watching season two of Heroes and Dexter. Halfway through the Jekyll mini-series and it's fantastic. It's written by the guy who wrote some of the best episodes of the new Doctor Who.
I have a cold and am way too stressed out. I need a day at the spa, a mimosa and a brick of dark chocolate.

the number of SG jumping ship on here of late has been pretty depressing, especially all that kerfuffle last week, but you're right, asdie from all these dramas, this site remains a pretty unique place to basically be yourself around peopel who are (for the most part) not complete nutjobs.
good on you for sticking this place out for two years, though. i'm approaching four years pretty soon, which is. . sort of scary. i thouyght i would be on here for three months, and that would be that. hmm.
