I hate moving. And moving in bits just draws it out and makes it worse. Everything's finally out of the old place and into the new. I'm the kind of person who throws things out as I unpack, rather than before I have to put stuff in boxes in the first place. I really need to get rid of more stuff. Anyone need a microwave?

The blue in my hair is very, very faded and it makes me sad. It's amazing that there's still colour left, though, as it was last done in July. I think I'll get Valdis to do my hair again as a birthday present to myself. Not only do I deserve it, but it'll be to celebrate all the great things going on in my life. Even trudging through the blizzard as I walked from the subway station today couldn't dampen my mood. Besides, the snow was pretty.

My parents were visiting this past weekend and gave us money to buy birthday presents for the baby. We went nuts and got her a pirate ship and some cute see-through blocks. She needs another toy box. How the hell do people find time for themselves with more than one kid??

I think I want a mug of hot chocolate, but I also think it's too late at night. I want to actually be able to fall asleep in the next five hours.
