Speaking of being a tree-hugging hippie: I finally aquired a bonsai, which I've named Euphemia. As in the mother of the infamous Lady Angelica Cottington. The species is eugenia brush cherry, thus the name. Apparently it flowers and even has cherries sometimes, but I suppose that's a long way off.
Next Saturday there will be charity screenings of the movie Serenity held around the world. Money raised will be donated to Equality Now, an organization dedicated to women and girl's rights everywhere. A worthy cause indeed. I hope that there's enough attention paid to this event to increase the possibility of more Firefly on screen, large or small.
A Spike and/or Watcher spinnoff series would be nice, too.
Whedon TV is awesome, but I'm also looking forward to Wonder Woman.
