On Wednesday we made it to the cemetery around dinner time, and thanks to daylight savings, it was still light out, and therefore the cemetery was still open. biggrin I hope I didn't sound morose in my last entry, though I appreciate the well wishes. It's been six or seven years since my grandmother died, so I'm over her death. I miss her, but I only saw her at Christmas and Easter, and it wasn't a huge shock to loose her when she finally died in the hospital after a long illness.

I'll have to go back when I'm better equipped. I need gardening tools and some bulbs and seeds to plant. I want to spiff it up a little there, make it pretty. I also need to find a lantern that won't rust so I can leave a candle burning.
She's near quite a few Chinese graves, and if you know anything about Chinese ancestor veneration, you know that they put we Westerners to shame when it comes to remembering those who came before them. I honour my ancestors in my home at my ancestor shrine, but I want to take advantage of having a place to go to which I can also use as a way of remembering them.

I saw Hair tonight and it was very odd to watch after having seen Trainspotting recently. Definately a whole different spin on drug abuse. I also must have missed something, because I really didn't enjoy it as much as those sitting near me. Only half the performers seemed to have microphones, and the music was very loud, so I couldn't understand half of what they were singing, and sometimes I couldn't hear them at all. At least I got to see them all naked.

I'm updating even though I still owe you all replies. I feel like if I don't update, I have a better chance at catching up. wink
