We went to look at a house for rent today, and we were pretty excited about it. The two smaller bedrooms turned out to be the size of our bathroom! I knew it was too good to be true! That kitchen was really nice, though, and I really would have liked the washer and dryer. I'm definately domesticated.

Ideally I'd want to live in the Irish countryside and have a big ol' wooden kitchen table around which most of the day is spent. Rose bushes in the garden, cats actually able to go outside, a pot of tea always on the stove, warm sweaters and cozy blankets. Very Hobbit-like, you see. I'd live in a hobbit-hole in a heartbeat. Though on the other hand I'm quite attracted to Tolkien's elves. (Mmm, Legolas. But that's another story.)

Miserable weather especially makes me want to burrow in and keep warm. I'm going to make a strawberry-rhubarb pie shortly, and probably have some cocoa (with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and a dollop of crme de menthe). Then I can cuddle with the cats and maybe watch The Muppet Show with my sweetie.
