I have been thinking about what my shrink said today. He told me that people are not their disease/ mental illness, but rather live with it. I never actually thought of it before of how many times I have heard people say "I AM bipolar" or "I AM diabetic" when they ARE NOT their disease! You never hear anyone say "I AM multiple sclerosis" or "I AM head trauma". Those people should be saying "I LIVE with diabetes" or "I LIVE with bipolar disorder". Don't get me wrong, I am NOT trying to preach, but I would like to see more strong individuals in this world and less labels.

I totally agree. I have diabetes myself, but I AM a human being and lots of things, from a writer till a naughty boy, etc. and for all, I am strong.
