So, today I'm traveling via Amtrak rails over to CT for a weekend wedding. It's really comfortable to be traveling in the business class section of the train with plenty of legroom and much more comfortable than getting crammed into a plane with hundreds of other people. I just wish that the train had included WiFi access so that I didn't have to use my personal aircard for access to a really slow cellular network. Anyway, I find the train to be a very relaxing way to travel. I do miss traveling on the private Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey train across the country, but I don't miss the amount of hours that I had to work and not get paid for in that job.

It's fun to see the little towns and the industrial properties as we're rolling across Pennsylvania. The population and properties get closer together as we head towards New England, which leaves less room for the trees and scenery, but it's just the way that we've settled the country. The best places to ride the rails are across the northern parts of the United States or through the Rocky Mountains. They provide some excellent scenic views as you sit inside an airconditioned well cushioned seating area. On some of the trains you can still sign up for dinner and get the first class treatment when you get a sleeping berth on the train. Well, enough of my talking about trains and back to watch some of the scenery and eatting the bag lunch that we brought along on the train because that's still possible, unlike taking a flight.

Aww thank you for the good vibes!

Enjoy the wedding! I like trains - comfortable to spread out and read, slow enough to enjoy the scenery!
