I guess it depends on what you're into really, I'm a massive fan of the source material so I probably enjoyed it more 'cause of that. Having said that my mate who was with me thought it was quality too and he didn't know anything about it, he only went along 'cause he had nothing else planned for the night. Like you said people's opinions differ on most things.
