hey guys, it's a motherfuckin' preview!

i put this photo up because i'm in a good mood. as y'all know, this weekend was the big hurricane rita for us, and while it was like, no-big-deal-it-was-windy-and-rainy, i still had one great worry:

a big research methods project due monday night. which i totally have not done.

AND NOW I DON'T HAVE TO, 'cause school is cancelled yet again! again and again!

this reminds me of wu-tang. do any of you listen to the wu-tang? you know on -- shit, i THINK it's 36 chambers-- well, there's a clip where a guy is calling the radio station requesting wu-tang, and the dj says, "wu-tang again?" and the caller responds, "again and again; again and again."

ever notice that any word, written enough times over, starts to look weird and no longer seems as if it should sound the way it's pronounced? try it. here, let's try with..."with."

i had a reading scheduled for last thursday; it was to be my first reading here in louisiana, and i was going to read my latest short story. however, it was cancelled b/c of the hurricane. not to mention that earlier last week, i had a dream in which i showed up an hour late and totally missed my own reading. prophetic.

ever notice how people say "not to mention," and then they fucking mention it?

okay, guess i shoulda stopped at the nudie picture...
