to reach beneath this outer shell in which we live
you see what we need, is droplets to feed
the heart thumping within, running veins
waterfalls down to reach for
with outstretched branches
our lifeblood, our fuel, our livelihood.
so give me some droplets to feed
i'm thirsty for a taste
i've been running through deserts
pulling cactus through roots of sandy grains
looking for your quench
looking to see through your outer shell
looking for just some, itty bitty, lil droplets
of that thing we call love.


we all just want to be beautiful...

beautiful like first snow,
the love of longing
that innocence that brings light
to the eyes of child-like wonder
the belief of warm-thoughtfulness
and kindred hearts,
that sing the sparrow's song
sweet, proud, full.
