I was late to work AGAIN yesterday. This sucks- twice in one week, and I've only worked there for 1 month. If I get another tardy, it counts as an "incident" and then I get a verbal warning.
I hate the traffic in Portland. I don't mind how long it takes so much, as they way that I drive happens to be beautiful, but it's just so unpredictable. It takes me 20-30 minutes to get to work, and then yesterday, 50! And I left at the same time I always do, and went the same route and everything- and there weren't any accidents or road construction! Unexplainable! It sucks!
So today I am leaving an HOUR before my shift starts. I want to make a good impression on this company because I don't like my particular role very much, and you can get promoted 9 months after you start.
I want to be a trainer, it's 50% travel (which I like), and I love the freedom of the job- it seems really fun, you get to interact with other employees, NOT customers, and have fun with them. Plus, I'm a bit of a know-it-all, so I could put that skill to use

thats sucks about the traffic in P-town, how far is it to your work? you could get a bike <shrugs>
