@ 2 am on the outskirts of my little town you can drive through the streets without hitting a red. Past the strip malls there vast concrete surfaces all bare but shining from the earlier rain.
The quickie marts still have a few heads popping over the aisles, and Broncos with big O stickers marking there alliegance
@ 2am you can see the strip clubs pouring out with those who stayed to the very end, for one last fix, before returning to their shadows.
The lights go from giant floodlit beams to small sapia glows, I must be getting nearer. Turning the corners deeper into town now trees and hills line its path, but black leaching into the sky
