The great part of having life turned upside down is that you get a chance to change. A fresh start I guess. I remember how I felt the day the first picture was taken. I was single and traveling alone and for the first time in most of my life I felt ok. I had just met @darryldarko, I was dying of nerves, because he was the master of SG photos to me. He turned out to be a little bit of magic. He showed me Portland, got me ice cream and gave me a small moment they I think on that often. This year I have felt like I have been living on the edge of a knife. I have been scared of everything. Scared to go forwards, scared to go back but mostly full of self-loathing for my crippling anxiety.
I look at that picture and how nervous I was but I went regardless. I was that person once before and I will be that person again too. It's ok to be shy, it's ok to be alone. It's ok to be the person that I am. Never looking back.
