So @missy and @rambo have tasked us with an almost impossible #suicidegirlsplaylist the new topic is #SuicideGirls Top 5.. There are so many songs that speak to me on so many levels but it's an interesting challenge to narrow it down to just 5. So..
First up, is Lord huron - Lonesome Dreams, something about this song makes me smile uncontrollably whenever it starts. They are one of my all time favourite bands, but this was the first song I heard of them and it's stuck with me.
The next song is quite new to my list of songs I'm obsessed with, I think I played it about 20 times the first day discovered it and I still love it.
The next song has to go to the Foo Fighters - I first listened to Wheels on a road trip with a really special friend. Those memories combined with the opening riff make it my number 3. Dave Grohl did an acoustic version when they played here in December and it was just too beautiful.
No top 5 playlist would be complete without some teenage favourites that still excite me. Alkaline Trio was my absolute favourite growing up and I still haven't managed to kill 'Mercy Me' no matter how hard I try.
And last but not least.. Fleetwood Mac - Storms. No matter how many times I listen to this it can still bring me to tears.
