A few days ago I went to a waterfall that I hadn't been to in a long time. It was so nostalgic to remember so many memorable moments I spent there. it feels weird and good, so much has changed since those days, i've changed so much... but i miss that time. I like to feel that to always remember to enjoy the days, every moment of our lives because time does not stop or go back. 🙏🏻
There's a Latin term used by the Stoic philosophy that I love: Memento Mori. It means 'Remember death', that is, remember that you are mortal, enjoy and love life, accept what is not under your control. Marcus Aurelius, the former Roman emperor, often remembered his death. he said, “Don't act like you're going to live ten thousand years. Death hangs over you. As long as you live, as long as it's in your power, be good.” 💜
