Naptime at the Mouse House. The cat is asleep on my bed, all appendages stretched outwards so she can suck up maximum sunlight. My little chicken, Dora, is downstairs asleep on the tile where she can keep her tummy cool. We went to Bosleys this morning, Dora and I, so we could pick out new flavors of dog cookies and buy some more food.

Got my bra back. Finally.

Only working on four hours sleep, as I had to be up early to set my hair, run some errands and prepare for the show tonight. Last night was absolutely heinous at work. Wednesday night is generally the busiest of the week, on top of the fact that it was the night before a stat holiday. Saw zerosome, briefly, as I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Pulled something in my back (a spot that acts up from time to time) and wasn't able to bend over to untie my shoes after work. Woke up this morning and it's no better. Definitely worrisome considering the fact that we have a show tonight! Lots of heat and linement...

I'd just like to say that I am one sappy girl. I was watching Oprah this afternoon (can I actually believe that I am admitting this?) and saw Shania Twain get to perform for the first time with her hero and mine, Dolly Parton. I don't know if any of you have heard of The Trio (Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt) but that some of my favorite music as a child. As soon as Shania started talking about how this was a lifelong dream and that she was sorry that her mum couldn't see her now... well, you know the rest.

What is it about sad stuff and me? I'm such a sucker for sad things, whether they be in books, music, on TV or in the movies. If I can relate to a character and they start crying, I'm toast.

Such a girly-girl.
